３年に１度、瀬戸内の里海に知られざる絶景が現れる。瀬戸内国際芸術祭。島々を舞台にさまざまな現代アートが展開する美の祭典だ。これらのアートと風景が織りなす極上の美を俳優の吉高由里子が訪ねる。浜辺に現れた１９６の子どもの砂の像、森につるされた４００の風鈴の音色、古い集会所に作られた４００の建具のトンネル。暮らしや風土と一体化したアートが生み出す絶景は刻一刻とその姿を変え、いつしか里海に溶け込んでゆく。
